Micah: A Belizean Voice Redefining Global Music

Micah is an international singer and songwriter who proudly represents Belize on the world stage. As a Grammy member and an independent artist, she brings a distinctive blend of her Belizean heritage into everything she creates. Her passion for music runs in her blood, thanks to her grandmother, a fine arts school owner and music teacher for over 40 years.

Micah’s musical journey began at the age of four, learning the piano before expanding to the clarinet, percussion, and vocals. By 18, she had already signed her first recording contract after graduating from fine arts school, marking the start of her professional career. 

But music wasn’t the only path she followed. Micah enrolled in university to study business, equipping herself with the knowledge to steer her career on her own terms. This decision allowed her to maintain independence while navigating the competitive music industry.

Today, Micah is a proud voting member of the Texas Grammys chapter and is actively collaborating with Grammy-winning artists on new projects. Her music is a reflection of her deep connection to Belizean culture, blending elements of reggae, dancehall, pop, hip-hop, and reggaeton to create a sound that’s uniquely her own. 

Tracks like "King Micah Mek Em Dance" and "Rude Boy" featuring Digital Sham reveal her ability to merge genres while staying authentic to her roots.

Influenced by musical icons like Michael Jackson, Prince, Selena, and Rihanna, Micah's work is bold and innovative. 

Before focusing entirely on her music, Micah also had a successful stint as a radio host for BBN, where she hosted shows like TGIF and PUP Radio. These roles helped her hone her connection with audiences, a skill she now channels into her performances and songwriting.
